We started off planning a Vintage Clothing and Jewelry Show, but quickly realized that this was an entire period of time when the most wonderful arts and lifestyle items where created... it was the end of World War II, it was an exciting and creative up beat period that some of us remember.
We all love what was designed at that time. It was the poodle skirt, it was Danish Modern, fabulous jewelry with stones Tiffany never dreamed of earlier in the century. And the most glamorous costume jewelry. The period ends somewhere in the middle of the 70’s.
We will put it all together for the 1st Annual VINTAGE SHOW & SALE. Our plans call for three separate areas, front to back in this very large room. The first area is meant for the high end designer items. The second for wonderful items, but not necessarily with designer names and then the items for YOU and ME.
Along with the items on sale, the show will include guest lectures, book signings and fabulous loan exhibits, compliments of “Mr. Miami” Seth Bramson and Ragtops Motorcars!
Company historian for Florida East Coast Railroad, curator of FEC’s museum archives and owner of the largest private collection of Miami Memorabilia and “Floridiana,” Mr. Bramson will share an abundance of rare photographs, letters and other vintage items from his collection.
